I'm a perfect low-maintenence plant. I'm happy as a stand-alone plant in a pot, or I can be grouped with other dianthus to make a real impact statement in a container or at the front of the border. I have a long flowering period - all summer long! My ancestors were originally from across southern Europe and Asia and my name derives from the Greek Dios (meaning Zeus) and Anthus (meaning flower) so I am literally the flower of the Gods! If I'm in a pot I’d be grateful if you make sure there is good drainage at the bottom.
