In the wild I grow in woodland under the canopy of trees, where I can enjoy dappled sunlight. I love borders, pots, window boxes, and baskets, so get creative and add a splash of colour to brighten your own patch of paradise. I don’t like to sit in bright full sun all day - but to be honest, good luck finding that in a British winter! Anyway, if you’re putting me in a conservatory bear this in mind regarding the amount of direct sunlight that comes through.

As the saying goes, "A little bit of what you fancy does you good". In my case, what I fancy is to get a regular drink so my compost is moist and well-drained, but not wet. Yes, I know, it can be a tricky balance for busy people. The most important thing is, don't let me dry out completely or sit in waterlogged compost.

I’m toxic if eaten, my tuber is especislly poisonous. f your pet eats my tuber you need to take them straight to a vet.
