I'm a perfect low-maintenence companion for your larger garden plants. I'm happy as a stand-alone plant, or I can be grouped with other osteospermums to make a real impact statement in a container or at the front of the border. I have a long flowering period - all summer long! My name means "bone-seed" in Greek (osteo bone and spermum seed) because my hard seeds look like tiny little bones. I'm originally from Africa, and I can cope with dry conditions, but I really hate standing in wet soil for long periods. If I'm in a pot pretty-please (with cherries on top) make sure there is good drainage at the bottom.

I will probably grow to maybe an extra 10cm wider and 5cm taller by the end of summer.
