I'm a real show-stopper in any tropical-or-Mediterranean-style garden. I love being in a border alongside other plants, and I'm also happy in pots. I trace my ancestry to the tropics and south America where I can be invasive. My bright flowers are loved by pollinators, and if you let chickens anywhere near me, they'll snaffle me - I'm what's known as a hen-delicacy! I prefer full sun, and well-drained soil. I'm great in pots as long as you don't over-water me.

I'm a small and low-growing plant, and to be honest, you can just leave me in the pot I come in.
I'm a tropical succulent, and am in my pomp between June and September, and I will have faded long before winter arrives. I'm a summer flower, so pop me on your compost heap (or in your green recycling) in the autumn. I will definitely NOT survive the winter outside. If you're feeling adventurous you could try bringing me into a bright cool room in the house for the winter, it might be fun to see if I make it through to next year.
